Is it anyone else or ETH seems like a really good guy, solid guy, tries his best. It would be harsh to sack him. But he doesn't seem to have an elite personality that you see with all the very best managers, SAF, Ancelotti, etc. Maybe that's just because of the stressful environment he's in and we'd see more... i don't know... freedom in his expression and way of talking if he had a more together team.

You know when managers bang on about injuries and rival fans think it’s just excuses to mask the shortfalls, this interview is proof why it’s the exact opposite. He cannot fundamentally play the way he wants with no Martinez, Shaw and Varane for pretty much the whole season. Furthermore when every other player has been injured at some point on top of this it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to play how he wants. Two glaring things required are United, good recruitment and an exceptional fitness department.

I felt that in recent press conferences, ETH was losing me a little with his insistance that things were going ok. I think this interview was what he needed. He addressed style of play issues, along with giving clearer detail on why the injuries were causing tactician; and performance issues. This man needs to stay and be backed properly, and we need to see that this isn’t a quick fix.

As a neutral, im not really impressed by ten hags answers although gary asked all the right questions. However, united should consider given him another window (due to a lack of available managers) to see if there is a change and sack him by January if not. Unless they find someone who they can back 💯

They frame Frenkie de Jong like he is Diego Maradona. In Holland they are critical about him. Especially Marco van Basten and Ruud Gullit; De Jong scores 3 goals a season, and runs to much with the ball, and has a lack of creativity around the box of the opponent. All true. I am dutchman, and I have to admit.

I think the issue with ETHs interviews are that often you have to read between the lines. I’m ETH in but it would be nice to see him call out a few wrongs vs defend everything all the time.

if Ineos get rid of him, they know nothing about this team and the issues that we have been facing for so long. We need to get solid fresh players in, but also have to ensure we get the dross and troublemakers out. Once the club (not the manager's responsibility - THE CLUB!) do this, the Manager can start playing how we should play, with stability. Then you'll truly see an improvement in the club's league position next season, without a doubt.

Yes its true, that injuries have played a part this season, but that still doesnt excuse that after 2 years there is no defined style of play, no recognizable patterns of play, every game looks different, every game is struggle no matter who we play, he presses high up the pitch with 5 or 6 and leaves the midfield wide open with 1 holding and the defense back, that the team keeps losing leads game after game after game and this isnt being addressed, that the wide forwards continue to go for goal and shoot from ridiculous angles rather that play the striker in and this isnt being coached out of them, that him continues to start players like Rashford who has been appalling all season and not start players like Amad who does better when he gets minutes, and that he sets up the same on every single game and you never see him change tactics for different teams to expose the opposition. .... Look I really dont like that we keep sacking managers but there are painfully obvious errors here and they dont seem to be addressed
